Samir Khuller is a Professor at the University of Maryland.
His research interests are in graph algorithms, discrete optimization, and
scheduling. He has published about 200 journal and conference papers, and several
book chapters on these topics. He was an editor for several journals such as Networks,
Algorithmica, IJFCS, and is currently Chair of ACM SIGACT.
He has also served on the program committees for many conferences
and workshops. He received the National Science Foundation's Career Development Award, several Teaching Awards, the Dean's Teaching Excellence Award and also a
CTE-Lilly Teaching Fellowship.
