Hirotsugu Yamamoto received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan. After graduation, he joined the Department of Optical Science and Technology at University of Tokushima, Tokushima, Japan. From April 2014, he joined Utsunomiya University, where he is currently an associate professor at the Center for Optical Research and Education. He has been a visiting associate professor at Tokushima University since June 2014. His recent work activities have included aerial displays, digital signage by use of high-speed LED panels, secure displays, adaptive optics for 3D imaging, and confocal microscope by use of optical frequency combs.
