Graduate BA of Science(Rikkyo Univ.) and Ph.D of Agriculture (Tokyo Univ). An expert of Ecotourism both in research and planning since 1990, based on field research especially of remote islands (Okinawa, Ogasawara, Amami, Yakushima, Galapagos Islands). After 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake, Kaizu focuses on utilization of Ecotourism as economical, philosophical and educational power for people to recover from unusual days. Recent research focuses on coastal resort area’s risk management such as Sagami-bay side, with Prof.Yasuo Kawai as co-researcher.
